The Analytica 2026 International Conference and Exhibition was held from April 22 to 24, 2026, at the ICE International Exhibition Center. At this forum, the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC) reaffirmed the pivotal role through substantive contributions of high strategic and practical value. The event serves as a testament to a significant milestone in the NIFC’s international integration, while asserting the scientific excellence of the NIFC’s within the global food safety sector.
Analytica is renowned as the world’s leading exhibition and conference for analysis, biotechnology, and laboratory technology. In 2026, the event continued to be the premier destination for thousands of experts and scientists worldwide. With the participation of international organizations and top scientists, this year’s conference focused on smart analytical solutions, enhancing precision, and risk forecasting capabilities within the global food supply chain.

In the framework of the conference, the delegation from the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC) actively participated and took leading roles in several key discussion sessions.

On April 22, during Scientific Session 2 themed “Food Safety and Quality Control”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Cao Son - Deputy Director of NIFC - served as the Chairman. Presiding over a major international discussion session is not only a personal honor but also a testament to the global scientific community's confidence in the expertise and reputation of Vietnamese specialists

During the same session, two officers from the Vietnam Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (VFSA) presented in-depth research reports on (1) Risk assessment of Salmonella in chicken from farm to fork, and (2) Risk assessment of histamine poisoning from Scombridae fish consumption. These presentations provided valuable empirical data, closely reflecting regional realities, and garnered significant interest and lively discussion from both domestic and international delegates.

Following these professional activities, on April 24, Dr. Le Thi Phuong Thao - Deputy Director of NIFC - delivered an important keynote entitled: “Current Challenges in Food Safety Management and Testing.” The presentation provided a profound analysis of the difficulties facing the analytical sector amidst complex supply chain fluctuations and emerging hazards. Furthermore, Dr. Le Thi Phuong Thao shared strategic directions currently being implemented in Vietnam to enhance systemic capacity, aiming for transparency and sustainability in food safety control.

The NIFC presence at Analytica 2026 extended beyond learning and accessing new technologies; it served as an occasion to showcase NIFC’s recent scientific achievements. These contributions stand as a clear demonstration of the remarkable growth in domestic analytical capacity, affirming the Institute's relentless efforts to meet the most stringent international standards.
